Private kindergartens like all private schools now require official authorisation by the local authorities. Children's World has the approval for kindergarten at each location and thus the kindergarten child will be prepared for the expectations of primary school.

Maria Montessori, who was in fact the first female to study medicine in Italy, developed the Montessori educational theory at the beginning of the 20th century. Her theory is based on her conclusion that children follow an inner development pattern and pass through so-called "sensitive periods". Sensitive periods are time periods of especially intense receptivity, which allow for concentrated comprehension and absorption of various subjects great ease. (for example learning a language)

Why did we decide in favour of a bilingual school (German – English)? We believe that a child being taught his own language together with another, or a foreign language separately, significantly stimulates his cognitive, emotional and creative development. Not only does the child acquire the foreign language through playful use of it, but at the same time he better understands the richness of his own. In this way the child is quickly aware that there are many languages in the world, contribute to the development of internationally oriented thinking and tolerance. Our goal is not for the child to become perfectly bilingual, but rather for him to gain a playful approach to the foreign language and its acquisitions.

For many of us, aquiring a second language is associated with a lot of time and effort. The rewarding experience of learning to understand and communicate in a foreign language helps us to build up our self-confidence. A special sensitivity for language in the earliest periods of life and the tendency to imitate assist the achievment of top performances with minimal conscious effort. This method of immersion offers the possibility to acquire a second language in the same promising conditions that prevail when learning our mother tongue.
